Our History

New Horizons Community Charter School was founded in 1999 as an outgrowth of a  vision to build a self-sufficient community with affordable housing, a school, nursing center, and recreation center. New Horizons Community Charter School has built on that vision with the goal of providing the model of excellence in urban education to the greater Newark and extended communities.
