New Horizons Community Charter School(NHCCS) is a Kindergarten through 8th grade school, with a student enrollment of over 600 students. The school boasts of a diverse faculty, all entrusted with providing our students with rigorous, data driven instruction as well as supporting their social and emotional development. Class size ratios are 21:1 in grades K-8.

 

Through the use of technology, New Horizons Community Charter School (NHCCS) supports the enhancement of the educational experience to enrich the lives of our students. We are committed to provide our students access to high speed internet, up to date equipment, and interactive software that prepares our students to develop into productive responsible citizens of the 21st Century. Educational technology is infused into classes to maximize student achievement of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and prepare them for College and Career Readiness.

 

Our students are also cycled through exploratory electives such as Art, Music, Technology and World Language. New Horizons Community Charter School also houses a large technology lab that supports and enhances lesson activities that are going on in the various classrooms. All of our classrooms are equipped with SMART Boards and ELMO Document Cameras, as well as a 1:1 laptop program for grades Kindergarten through 8, as a means to capitalize on the benefits of technology in the classroom.
